Here at Kidz on the Go we have a broad range of activities for your child to enjoy. In the morning the children are treated to warm toast and cereal, juice and milk and are greeted with smiles all around. When the children arrive in the afternoon they are given a hot meal specially prepared by Chris, who is the mother of the house and has a knack for working out just what the kids like eating.

The kitchen is open from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. We get the children to mingle with children from other schools as they sit down and eat, and it is lovely to see them making new friends and talking about their day at school. Once everyone has finished eating, all of the children are encouraged to show manners, and to say thank you and to ask politely should they require anything. It is a simple rule that works, and it places an importance on being nice to one another.

After the children have finished eating they have free time to play amongst each other until 4:30pm. At this time the children will be supervised in their age groups to do homework until 5pm. If they do not have any homework or if their parents prefer them to do it at home, then they are encouraged to sit down and read quietly for 15 minutes, practice their times tables or are asked to be creative and draw a masterpiece that they can present to you when they get home.

There is also an extensive range of activities that our resident teacher Miss Carol has organized for the children to do from 5pm to 5:45pm. Children are encouraged to do activities in groups in a fun way. The activities that are chosen depend on the childs interest, so we ask the children what they would like to do for activities and then take it from there. Children like to be creative and it is very rewarding to see the smiles pop up on their faces during craft.

Our centre is run on very simple family values. Always respect those around you and show good manners to the people that you meet in your daily life. For this reason, no bad language or misbehavior is tolerated at any time. Our use of praise and positive reinforcement works very well and the children respond to this.
